Yo’el/Joel 2:30-32 informs us that a day is approaching, when all who call upon the name of Yahuweh shall be saved. It is vital therefore that we are familiar with Elohim’s Name.

When Mosheh/Moses encountered Elohim at the burning bush, he was told to say to the children of Yisra’el:

“Yahuweh (I Am) has sent me to you.”

“This is My Name forever” Shemoth/Exodus 3:14&15.

We understand from Mark 7:1-13 that apostate Jews developed man made traditions, which they preferred to Elohim’s commandments. One such tradition was never to mention the name of Yahuweh, and this is referred to in Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 23:26&27:

“The prophets of falsehood and the prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make my people forget My Name by their dreams which everyone relates to his neighbour, as their fathers forgot My Name for Ba‘al.”

Yahushua aroused fierce opposition when He exposed this false tradition: “Woe to you learned in the Torah, because you took away the key of knowledge. (The Name). You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.” Luke 11:52. Please also consider Yeshayahu/Isaiah 22:22, Mattithyahu/Matthew 25:10-13, Revelation 3:7&8.

Scripture exhorts us to know and to speak the related names of Yahuweh and Yahushua: Who has gone up to the heavens and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know it? Mishle/Proverbs 30:4

Since the name of The Father and of His Son were neglected, many English translations substituted the names of idols, Ba‘al-Gawd (God), Iesus (Jesus), Lordo (Lord), Christos (Christ).

(Note: The majority, if not all, of scripture was in Hebrew, known as LeShon ha-Qodesh, the set-apart or pure tongue, because it was not defiled with names from pagan idolatry).

(Note: Yahushua used the Hebrew tongue when He spoke to Sha’ul in Acts 26:14&15).

When the scriptures were translated into Greek, and then into the many other gentile tongues, the name of Ihsous, the pagan, sun-idol appeared. (Iesus, in Latin.) The letter ‘I’ is pronounced with a ‘J.’ The letter ‘H’ is pronounced with an ‘E.’ This is the likely source of ‘Jesus,’ the leaven hidden (Mattithyahu 13:33) in many translations of the scriptures, in place of Yahushua. (Note: Hebrew has no ‘J’ sound). IHSOUS was abbreviated to IHS, the letters on the communion wafer, a symbol of the sun. IHS encircled by sun rays, is seen in the Catholic, benediction monstrance, an emblem also found on priests’ vestments, church windows etc. (Note: Rowan Williams, who served as the Archbishop of Canterbury from 2003-2012 C.E., simultaneously served as the Arch Druid. Druids worship the sun!

“I Am Yahuweh, that is My Name, and My esteem I do not give to another, nor My praise to idols.” Yeshayahu/Isaiah 42:8.

Addressing the Jews, Yahushua said, “I have come in My Father’s name and you do not receive Me, if another comes in his own name, him you would receive.” Yohanan/John 5:43. The literal translation of Yahushua is ‘I Am Deliverance,’ and the Father’s name, Yah (I Am), is contained within that of His Son. Beyond this, He is hinting that someone, not having the Father’s name, would emerge and be accepted as the Messiah.

2 Corinthians 11:14 cautions, that Satan masquerades as a messenger of light. Those in search of Truth must therefore be wary! As the Messiah was born to a Hebrew maiden, it follows that He would have had a Hebrew Name. (Luke 1:26-33). Also, the messenger told Yoseph the Name that the Messiah was to be given, as well as the significance of the Name: “She shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name Yahushua for He shall deliver His people from their sins.” Mattithyahu 1:21. Jesus is not a Hebrew name, it is Greek. It does not contain the Father’s Name, Yah, neither has it the significance of Yahushua’s Name, i.e. ‘I Am Deliverance.’
